One Day Seminar: Alternatives to in vivo Testing for Plant Protection Products

HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) is running a one day Seminar on use of alternatives to vertebrate studies for authorisation of plant protection products under Regulation EC 1107/2009.

Under Article 62 of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 in vivo vertebrate tests should not be conducted for the purposes of fulfilling the requirements of the Regulation where accepted alternatives are available and could reasonably have been used.  This course provides information on the alternative methods available and how to apply them with respect to authorisation of plant protection products.
