Maximum Residue Levels Workshop

HSE's Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) is holding a one-day workshop on proposing and supporting Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs). The aim of the day will be to raise awareness, and to provide guidance for proposing and supporting MRLs. A mixture of formal presentations and workshops will be used to relay complete and up to date information on current and upcoming issues that relate to the EU MRL system.


The workshop will be held at the Chemicals Regulation Division in York on Thursday 7th December, 2017.  Registration will begin from 9:00 am.  The workshop will start at 9:30 am and finish around 4:30 pm.  The cost per delegate to attend the workshop will be £430 (plus VAT).


Topics of discussion

  • Overview of the EU MRL evaluation process
  • MRL policy and procedures in the EU
  • Risk assessment for MRLs
  • The review and risk management of MRLs
  • Future developments
  • Monitoring of compliance with MRLs in the UK and EU


The workshop will be presented by CRD Policy and Regulatory Specialists who will be available to answer your questions throughout the day. 


Target Audience

This course is specifically designed for technical and regulatory staff involved in the production and submission of data into the EU process.


Because of the nature of the event, places will be limited to a maximum of 16 people, and will be issued on a first-come first-served basis.
