Clinical Knowledge Summaries
NICE Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS) topics are aimed at healthcare professionals working in primary and first contact care in the UK.

The 350 topics cover 1000 clinical presentations or patient scenarios and are free to access. 
 
The clinical content is monitored and reviewed, and new topics introduced each year. The topic content supports the implementation of national policies and guidance and addresses the information needs of primary healthcare professionals.

The next release of CKS, available from July 2017, will include the following topic updates:

Guidelines on weight management for service delivery - Public Health England has published a new weight management services guide. The guide includes information and resources around the design and delivery of the service.

It has recommendations to help health professionals discuss weight management with patients and increase referrals to the service.
